JobKeeper - Important Updates
Receiving JobKeeper for your employees?
You may be able to claim JobKeeper for additional employees for August, 2020 and September, 2020.
The key date for assessing employee eligibility has now been updated to 1st July, 2020 rather than 1st March, 2020.
If you are currently enrolled for JobKeeper and have had a new full-time or part-time employee start between 1st March, 2020 and 1st July, 2020, or you have had a casual employee reach at least 12 months of service on 1st July, 2020, you may be eligible to claim JobKeeper for these additional employees.
Please note that in order to do so, you must provide the employees with an updated JobKeeper Employee Nomination Notice as soon as possible and for the fortnights commencing on 3rd and 17th August, 2020, employers have until 31st August, 2020 to meet the $1,500 per fortnight ‘wage condition’ for new eligible employees under the 1st July, 2020 eligibility test. This may require a wage top-up payment to be made by 31st August, 2020.
